Duties:

In line with the goals of the University of Kashan and the Applied Science Center for Water, Drought, and Climate Change , this center have the duty to:

  • Perform fundamental, applied, and developing researches in water resources, drought, and climate change such as water resources planning, groundwater issues, wastewater reuse, flood control and drought prevention, river, environment, dam, and hydraulic structure and related topics in social sciences, economics, and optimizing consumption and improving productivity
  • Study and plan for regional crisis management to prevent saline and fresh water influx, land subsidence, floods and earthquakes
  • Study and research of water and wastewater schemes
  • Provide scientific and technical consultation services in regard to the goals of the center for organizations, industrial, production, livestock and agriculture units
  • Analysis, recognition, and meeting the research needs of manufacturing, industrial, service providers, and executive sectors in water resources, water and wastewater industry, and climate change and drought
  • Define, revise, analyze, and conduct national research projects related to water, wastewater, climate change, drought, and land use planning
  • Create scientific and technical information bank using the result of researches of scientific institutes, national and international universities with assistance of related organizations
  • Monetize through conducting applied projects and productive activities related to the goals of the center
  • Design, creation, and manufacturing software/hardware prototypes and pilot projects
  • Translate, authorship, and publish scientific and research-based books and publications in line with the goals of the center
  • Support theses, dissertations, and research projects related to the goals of the center
  • Endeavor to introduce the research activities of the center via publication of journals
  • Hold seminars, research courses, educational workshops related to the goals of the center in national and international scales
  • Create, develop, and equip the educational, research, and laboratory spaces in line with the goals of the center
  • Create active and productive collaboration with other national and international institutes and scientific and cultural centers
  • Endeavor to attract national and international specialists for cooperation
